Find an Edtech School SW | Featured SW Edtech CPD & Support | Edtech Guidance & Resources

The DfE and delivery partners have identified twenty schools and colleges to act as Demonstrator Schools which have demonstrated excellence in their use of technology to support teaching and learning and have the capacity to help others. There are plans to extend the reach of this programme over the coming weeks.

These schools and colleges represent a wide range of contexts, from rural to urban and primary to further education and include a number of Trusts with special needs provision.

Advice and training will be available to some schools and colleges across the country which are most in need of support, for example those which have recently deployed a new online learning platform and those with the most disadvantaged learners.

The South West of England has six Edtech Demonstrator Schools, you can search for your nearest support provider below:

#EdtechWeek2020

From the 9th to the 14th November the Edtech Demo Programme will be holding a FREE six-day online EdTech event, #EdTechWeek2020 designed to celebrate the work of the EdTech Demonstrator Schools and Colleges, and to support educators - across the UK - in bringing technology into every aspect of their work, both in the classroom and remotely.

You are invited to join in the discussion with industry experts, high-profile speakers, and the teachers who are providing remote education in classrooms today - and ultimately, reshaping the future of education for us all.

Accessible Tech Thursdays

Every Thursday at 4:15pm Balcarras School and Highfurlong School will be delivering short webinars (between 20-40mins) focusing on the best ways to integrate accessible technology into your classrooms - enabling you to improve the outcomes for all of your learners.

Accessible technology means technology that allows full access the digital content, whatever your needs. As a result, these webinars are for all educators, as we all know that mainstream classes include a range of students with needs, diagnosed or not. An accessible classroom makes learning easier for everyone.

What's more, is the last Thursday of the month we will open up the end of the webinar as a "surgery" where you can get help with student issues around accessible tech.

Edtech Guidance and Resources

This section of the Edtech Demonstrator Website gathers together guidance and resources from our demonstrator schools and colleges and advice on a range of issues including edtech strategy development, safeguarding and wellbeing and support for Special Educational Needs.
